We should stop calling the situation in the Iraq a war, we should start identifying it with what it actually is: a foreign occupation that the indigenious people simply, clearly, any overtly want absolutely no part of.
True - but now you have the problem of genocide taking place between the two tribes wanting power. To pull out now would be a bigger travesty than invading it in the first place. Many innocent people would be slaughtered.
It is intellectually disingenuous to assert that the violence would increase as a result of the US leaving. Aren't three warring tribes more destructive than two, especially when the third is looked upon as the instigator by most of the planet?
