Homogenized Democracy

Given the recent Democratic position in Congress illustrated by its virtual support of continuing the war in Iraq, one must begin to question the two-party system as a whole. Seemingly, both parities have become increasingly homogenized in their expression of policy. Such myopia in government hardly seems like Democracy to me.

On the day of Congress' decision, the NY Times poll showed only 20% of the US population in favor of the war.

Yet both parities support it. This is unbelievable bc. It seems fair to assert that the voting public wanted a Democratic Party led Congress so that we might end the war. This is a slap in the face of those believers in Democracy.
