Newport Ad

This ad creates a fallacy of Cause and Effect.
This ad wants the viewer to think that when you smoke Newport then you will look fit and trim and have great pleasures. It gives the viewer a directive “Fire It Up”. So the viewer is supposed to believe that by lighting a Newport they will have fun laughing and surfing with a “babe” at your side.

That is a good point. I also see a false analogy. Like you could be on a beach and smoke cigarettes but the two have nothing in common yet they are being related as though they do. Does that make sense? I thought maybe that was the point they were trying to make as well.
