fallacies





In many ads women are told that their bodies are their best assets. The messages told by advertising indicate that bodies can be commodified as products that have a use value. Ads reflect the concepts of the Only the Body trope, namely, that a woman has only her body to offer. the following ads are made more specific as women are told to use their bodies to get what they want.

1.it says that buy one this bra then you get free drinks. 2.it sends a very clear message. with this bra, this lady could get her husband to buy her a trip. 3.the idea is that the woman's body with this bra on is a "weapon," again illustrating the reductionism of women and their bodies.
these are all fallacies. they make people think that with these bras on women's bodies, they could get everything.
