Media Influence on Children

I'm bit overwhelmed with the short period to complete a 8~10 pages essay. I wasn't sure what I wanted to write about the media, and after printing and reading few different articles about the media, I narrowed it down to the topic above. Still, it's a lot of information to process... If anyone knows where I can find more specific info on this topic, please help me.

seriously, I am struggling too..it is just a lot of information out there and I dont know what i should write about, or can I just write it in general? like taking about the different types of filters in the society and how they decide what should be on the news, and then take a couple more paragraphs on how media effect people's lives...could anyone help??
It would be really nice if we could get another week to work on this..

I agree, add to that writer's cramp and you got a recipe for disaster. I found lots of information on my topic but sorting it and staying focused on one topic can both be difficult. Here are some sites I found on women/children and the media:
