Thank you - my original thought was the effect society, and specifically the media, have on women as they grow up - that is a broad spectrum I realize, I was going to look at all of the info. forwarded, sift through it and narrow down the info. to one topic and my thesis. Sooo the answer would be - all of the above, self-image, self-conscious, careers they pursue, marketing, etc...Violence and ideals are another aspect I have considered and may go with. Metal - in regards to the essay: 5 to 8 pages (If you can get the point of an 8 page essay across in a 5 page essay...you get the message), at least 3 sources but 5 is more realistic. The topic can be anything related to our readings, and/or the media. Professor crandall left it pretty open - as long as it relates to one or the other he said it will satisfy the assignment. The paper is due by midnight on this Sunday. If you are looking for considerable written feedback submit a hardcopy version of your paper. If you are not worried about it you can submit an electronic copy via email - Prof Crandall prefers the format be sent as HTML or ASCII. I noticed that he is active here in our blog so if you have any further questions or if there is anything that can be added look for an entry from him or direct one to him :)
